Project manager (automated equipment)
Our client, a manufacturing company, specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of equipment for the processing of forest products, is currently looking for a project manager.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of the management of the company, your mandate will be to carry out equipment manufacturing projects, from the design phase to its delivery and support after installation, in collaboration with the whole of the company's team of professionals, in addition to managing the relationship with the client and following up on deadlines and budgets. As such you will :
- Develop the project Gantt planning ;
- Participate in the development of mechanical concepts and work closely with the design team ;
- Coordinate the data taking in the factory ;
- Plan the project start-up meeting with the team ;
- Evaluate, when necessary, the cost of projects or part of them ;
- Plan and lead engineering meetings related to projects ;
- Participate in control system design activities and operator interface development activities ;
- Plan and participate in design reviews ;
- Responsible for component purchases related to your projects ;
- Participate in the planning of workshop work related to your projects ;
- Responsible for monitoring the budget of your projects ;
- Manage communications with customers ;
- Participate in the realization of development plans with Draftsight software for the adaptation and implementation of products at customers ;
- Responsible for writing / managing the technical documentation associated with the project ;
- Responsible for the quality of the assembly and the functionality of the equipment to be delivered ;
- Plans with the customer the factory installation activities of the equipment ;
- Responsible for the installation of factory equipment ;
- Responsible for training plant operators ;
- Plans and leads the project retrospective meeting ;
- Perform every other task compatible with your functions.
Required qualification
- DEC in mechanical engineering or any other relevant training ;
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience ;
- Knowledges of the design software SolidWorks ;
- Good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel et Outlook) ;
- Excellent proficiency of French written and spoken and an intermediate level in English ;
- Have good planning and organizational skills ;
- Be available to make occasional trips to clients.
