Our client is a firmly established business specializing in the design, manufacturing, and installation of conveyors (push plate conveyors, belt conveyors, flat conveyors, and roller conveyors) designed for the bottling, food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries, as well as packaging machinery distributors. They are currently looking for a project manager / engineering coordinator.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of company management, your job will be to develop and implement innovative engineering concepts relating to companies' strategic directions, to manage various projects, as well as to coordinate the engineering department, one you have completed your transition into the company.

  • Carry out any other task related to your duties.
  • Supervise special projects, the development of new products, etc;
  • Perform feasibility and cost studies;
  • Take part in the development of operations manuals and assembly procedures;
  • Improve current machinery and design new machinery;
  • Check and approve manufacturing drawings;
  • Provide support to the sales team, installers, and clients;
  • Coordinate the department's employees;
  • Manage client relations;
  • Prepare and follow work schedules, ensuring that they are applied;
  • Plan and prepare for work to be carried out on various projects;

Required qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant educational background;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Member of l'Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec;
  • Fluent in spoken and written English;
  • Proficient with Autocad and the MS Office suite;
  • Proficient with 3D parametric design software (SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.) is considered a significant asset;
  • Experience simultaneously managing many projects;
  • Significant experience designing machinery.
