Project technician (automated equipment)

Our client, a manufacturing company, specialized in design, manufacturing and the set up of integrated solutions for the forest products transformation, is currently seeking for an project technician (automated equipment).

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the company management, you will be responsible for participating in the manufacturing, installation, repair and maintenance of company equipment. In addition, you will play a key role in quality, efficiency and the support for the team throughout the customer installation process. A such, you will :

• Participate and collaborate in the assembly and testing of equipment in the shop ;
• Ensure that the systems meet quality standards ;
• Participate in the installation and start-up of equipment manufactured at the customer's site (Canada and Northeastern United States) ;
• Perform tune-ups on various customer equipment ;
• Ensure that effective technical support is provided to customers during normal working hours and also outside of normal working hours ;
• Contribute to the process of writing operator manuals ;
• Be an integral part of the continuous improvement process ;
• Participate in various meetings throughout the project ;
• Collaborate with the entire team in order to ensure the optimization of the service offered to the customers ;
• Perform every other tasks compatible with your functions.

Required qualification

• Education in a relevant discipline ;
• Knowledge of automation and computers ;
• Have an interest in customer service ;
• Be available for trips in North America ;
• Possess a valid passport ;
• Be autonomous and meticulous ;
• Good command of spoken and written French and English.

D.C.S. - Industrial electronics technology, D.V.S. - Automated systems electromechanics , D.V.S. - Maintenance electricity
