Purchasing and internal sales manager

Our client, a manufacturing company, specialized in design, manufacturing and the set up of amenities intended for the forest products transformation, is currently seeking for a purchasing and internal sales manager.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the company management, your main mandate will be to plan and manage the company's purchases and coordinate the activities of purchasing goods and services with a view to optimizing stocks, improving storage flows and processes and cost reduction. A such, you will :

• Plan purchases based on business needs and supply chain requirements ;
• Ensure the efficiency of the procurement process and generate profits on the sale of the parts ;
• Identify potential suppliers, analyze offers by evaluating the best value for money ;
• Validate and contact the chosen suppliers and negotiate the terms of purchase and the conditions of the supply ;
• Manage orders at the administrative level and maintain commercial relations with suppliers ;
• Propose new ways of doing things to optimize inventory management by ensuring you meet the service levels offered to customers in order to avoid crisis situations ;
• Maintain the price list of parts sold in order to be competitive in the offers ;
• Receive customer inquiries, issue price quotes, and receive and process customer orders ;
• Order parts from suppliers if required and ship the parts sold to customers ;
• Monitor and maintain information received from customers in a database in order to propose adjustments when required ;
• Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.

Required qualification

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, DEC business administration or other relevant training ;
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement ;
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite ;
• Excellent knowledge of French and English (spoken and written) ;
• Possess an excellent sense of organization ;
• The knowledge of an MRP / ERP type system will be considered an asset.
