Bilingual Director of Supply Chain Management (Food Industry)

Responsible for the managing the strategy, planning, implementation and day-to-day execution of the supply chain activities.

Ensure the function meets the company performance objectives and customer expectations

Developing and managing a strong and effective team that continually drives efficiency and cost savings across the entire supply chain from procurement, material and inventory management and transportation.

Manages strategic partnerships with suppliers, distributors and vendors.

Provides effective leadership of all purchasing, material management and transportation functions

Provide leadership and management in all in-bound, out-bound and inter-company transportation, logistics and warehousing.

Establish strong controls and monitor systems to ensure maximum cost effectiveness while maintaining high-level service requirements.

Manages and implements  the best practices across the whole range of functional responsibilities.

Provide oversight and monitoring of all expense activities.

Establish standardized reporting for insights and analysis of critical business activity.

Direct and manage a team

Reviews vendor proposals, negotiates prices and contracts, availability, and delivery schedules, chooses vendors, determines method of procurement, makes purchase order awards, and settles complaints.

Evaluates performance of vendors and recommends contract renewals or new request for proposals (RFP)

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3+ years of Food supply chain management experience
• Bilingual in English and French
• Experience in multiple supply chain/processes, methodologies and technologies
• Knowledge of key supply chain / logistics processes & current best practices.
• Proven ability to manage, influence and maintain strong business relationships with suppliers
• Strong purchasing, negotiation, planning & materials knowledge.
• Ability to drive projects to a successful completion.
