QA analyst assurance

The quality assurance and test team of our client is looking for individuals passionate about testing and technology. As a quality assurance and test analyst, you will perform testing on a fiscal application for emerging countries. The activities will include test plan and script writing and maintenance, execution or test scripts, creation of automated test cases and validation of requirements. Your duties will push you to provide accurate and efficient feedback to improve the applications, processes and overall quality of the portfolio and team tooling. You love to bring new ideas and test concepts that will facilitate your work on a daily basis? We want to hear you.

You will provide regular feedback to the team lead and be autonomous, being able to work unsupervised. You understand the priorities and can improvise when time requires it. You also understand Agile development and can bring your experience in moving the quality needle up in a sometimes challenging work schedule.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Creating test plans.
• Creating test scripts and executing them.
• Creating automation scripts
• Reporting on testing advancement.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies in the QA and automation space and suggests opportunities for improvement.
• Provides weekly status updates.
• Takes a lead role in one or more of the following: application architecture, design of complex applications, the evaluation and application of emerging or complex technologies, quality assurance.
• Develops solutions consistent with the target architecture and standards, that are of high quality, cost effective and that produce the desired results.

Job Specific & Technical Skills & Competencies Technical Skills

• Knowledge and experience with various technologies/tooling. (I.e. XML, JSON, SOAP, Java, Python, Visual Basic, SQL, JIRA, TestRail).
• Ability to understand and converse with developers, architects, tech leads, managers and executives.
• Experience working with on and offshore teams.
• Solid understanding of SDLC.
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium or Ruby.

Nice To Have Skills

• Experience with Performance testing and tools such as JUnit
• Experience with AGILE methodology.
