The Role

Mighty Cast is looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our Technology Team to eliminate software defects. The successful candidate will support the Team in ensuring that Mighty Cast’s multiple product offerings respect our high standards of quality. Reporting to the Technical Director, the successful candidate should exhibit a broad range of programming skills, as well as expertise in software development methodologies that enable shipping high-quality products.

Job Responsibilities

• Creating test plans with several engineering teams;
• Building physical test rigs;
• Writing and executing automated tests on multiple platforms;
• Detecting hardware and software defects;
• Creating reports for executive management.

About you

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or equivalent experience;
• Deep understanding of how to test software features and UI, both functionally and non-functionally;
• 5+ years' developing and testing server applications (e.g. performance, load, stress tests, etc.);
• 5+ years’ developing and testing mobile technologies (unit testing on iOS, Android);
• Hands on test automation tool experience (Selenium, TestNG, SOAP UI, Scripting languages);
• Intimacy with continuous integration toolchains.

Assets

• Intimacy with the requirements and intricacies of full-stack software development;
• Demonstrated knowledge of modern software engineering practices;
• Positive attitude and an ability to provide and receive constructive criticism;
• Small company or Startup experience is preferred;
• A passion for the advancement of state of the art technologies.
