Quality Control Inspector

Duties :

• Perform hands on inspection of processed machined components including dimensional, fit up, machining, paint and weld quality
• Assist Q.A. Manager in producing and organizing quality controls to obtain manufacturing efficiency and quality
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications, verifying specified dimensions of parts or materials
• Ensure product meets or exceeds internal and customer requirements
• Perform other duties that may be required such as packaging and preparing shipping documents
• Complete all necessary Quality Control documents as required, inspection reports along with detailed First article inspections
• Examine material or product for defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete welds

Requirements :

• Completion of High School/High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as an inspector in aerospace would be an asset
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a custom manufacturing Machine shop
• Must have an above average ability to read and understand  machining drawings, GD&T an asset
• Familiar with the Faro Arm would be an asset
• The ability to use precision measuring and test equipment (i.e. calipers, CMM, micrometers, and gages)
• Must be able to thrive in a team environment, but also work independently
• This hands on position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail is a must
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills are needed for this position
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, CAD software (Topsolid, Mastercam)  would be an asset
