Quality manager

Our client, a manufacturing company solidly established in Quebec with an international clientele, is currently looking for his cutting-edge technology factory, for a quality manager.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Operations Director, you will have as main mandate to ensure the maintenance, development and optimization of the quality assurance system in compliance with ISO 9001 standards. As such, you will :

• Facilitate the development of the processes and objectives of the quality system ;
• Define and maintain the level of quality required for product compliance ;
• Deal with quality complaints with customers and external suppliers ;
• Manage the follow-up of corrective actions ;
• Develop and review operating procedures related to quality and continuous improvement ;
• Define the appropriate training needs of employees related to continuous improvement ;
• Responsible for internal audits and suppliers ;
• Support production teams to achieve and meet quality requirements ;
• Manage the entire quality management system (ISO standard) ;
• Ensure the management of the quality team ;
• Perform every other task compatible with your function.

Required qualification

• Bachelor in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or any other relavant training ;
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in quality and continuous improvment ;
• Depth knowledges of quality assurance (ISO 9001) ;
• Knowledge of concepts related to the LEAN or Six Sigma approach will be considered a very important asset ;
• Functional bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) ;
• Ability to manage a small work team ;
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes statistical methods (an asset) ;
• Proficiency of usual IT tools.
