Our Client, a leading manufacturing company in the Aerospace Industry wants to hire a Quality Manager (reporting to the VP Operations) to maintain and improve the quality performance of the enterprise in collaboration with the other departments. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Quality System Management and Quality Control;
  • Monitor and control that product is in conformance to all customer requirements and specifications;
  • Provide leadership to the quality team;
  • Maintain the AS 9100 certification;
  • Transform the organization of the quality functions to better support the Lean transformation of the organization;
  • Lead the management and resolution of all quality issues with both customers and suppliers;
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in quality with OSP (outside Plant), specifically heat treatment and coating;
  • Ensure the customers satisfaction by the delivery of products that meet their specifications;
  • Develop robust processes to eliminate escapes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Holding a degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in quality in a manufacturing facility, with a minimum of 5 years in a management role;
  • Experience in CNC and tight tolerance machining;
  • Knowledge of SPC (statistical process control) and metrology;
  • Experience in the aerospace industry and metallurgy;
  • Master of the AS 9100 standard;
  • Internal auditor;
  • Ability to set metrics, develop action plans and hold teams and individuals accountable;
  • Bilingual (French / English) with ability to communicate directly with the customer on critical issues.

Desirable assets:

  • Kaizen leader;
  • Knowledge in ERP systems and in quality data management;
  • Six Sigma certification;
  • Knowledge of surface treatments;
  • Project management expérience.

Work Location: Montreal.

Salary : $90K / year + annual Bonus + full package of benefits.
