Sales and Marketing Director
Our client, a manufacturing company, located in Quebec center region is currently looking, to continue his growth, for a Sales and Marketing Director.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of the General Manager, your main mandate will be to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate all direct and related activities of the sales and marketing department, in a context of improving the customer and employee experience and expected sales growth. In addition, you must demonstrate strong management, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. As such, you will :
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate internal and external sales, retail, corporate stores, marketing and advertising activities ;
- Participate in the planning and development of the company's strategic orientations and projects ;
- Participate actively in the management committee ;
- Supervise the sales and marketing department employees and respond to their requests ;
- Motivate and evaluate the personnel under his/her responsibility and revise expectations or objectives based on individual performance ;
- Coordinate staff needs assessment ;
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for each worker ;
- Develop and coach employees in their tasks ;
- Identify training needs in order to develop its personnel and ensure that it has a succession by working closely with the human resources department ;
- Establish a work environment and a climate that motivates and engages employees in their successes and goals ;
- Consolidate the contractor, retailer and corporate store network and conduct market research and analysis of results ;
- Lead and evaluate product marketing strategies ;
- Lead and evaluate firms that develop and implement marketing and communication strategies ;
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of websites to manage the company's internet presence, including public relations, communications, and marketing activities ;
- Assist in the implementation of various performance indicators as required and ensure their maintenance ;
- Participate in the preparation and management of budgets related to his department ;
- Implement and produce reports on the status of his/her departments ;
- Be one of the main contributors to improve the customer experience and the efficiency of his department ;
- Participate in the implementation of customer management policies according to the strategic objectives established with management ;
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to his/her department ;
Required qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing concentration (an asset) ;
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience ;
- Knowledge of building materials (an asset) ;
- Knowledge of the MS Office suite ;
- Mastery of sales principles ;
- Bilingualism, both oral and written (an asset) ;
- Demonstrate leadership and positive collaboration in a team concept.
