Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Associate is responsible for promoting cellular and wireless data devices, accessories and digital at home services within the store. He/she is expected to provide superior guest care and handle any guest inquiries while meeting sales quotas.

Responsibilities :

  • Generating and promoting sales of wireless devices, accessories and services in order to meet daily quotas, with all transactions / actions upholding the highest level of integrity;
  • Successfully achieving quotas as outlined by GLENTEL Inc. Fundamentals, maintaining a network and manufacture balance within individual sales achievements;
  • Maintaining a professional image, fulfilling high levels of guest care and product knowledge consistent with GLENTEL Inc. Business standards;
  • Participating in merchandising and promotional activities along with Sales Managers and other employees to maximize store sales and presence within the warehouse;
  • Participating and completing of all required training modules including the Wireless Orientation Guide and online training;
  • Following all company practices with regards to opening / closing, guest care and loss prevention;
  • Completing all tasks, as delegated, in an accurate and timely manner;
  • Maintaining inventory, completing spot checks and daily counts in a timely manner;
  • Assisting in the overall store image by partaking in all manner of store maintenance as required;
  • Building effective relationships with the Target Canada staff, ensuring two way communication is maintained at all levels;
  • Actively participating in store meetings.

Qualifications :

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Ability to meet or exceed daily sales quotas to achieve performance consistent with GLENTEL Inc. Business Standards;
  • High level of integrity;
  • Excellent guest care skills, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills;
  • Motivated and creative team player with the willingness to accept coaching as a means of assisting career growth;
  • Has management potential;
  • Proficiency in computer usage with basic programs such as Windows and Outlook, with the ability to learn new programs;
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance, demeanour, and attitude at all times;
  • 1 - 2 years of retail sales experience considered an asset;
  • High School diploma or Post-Secondary education.
