Sales Manager

Our client is an international manufacturing company and a leader in its field. They are currently looking for a sales manager.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the vice president - sales, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling sales-related activities for products and equipment. You will help not only to better serve the existing clientele, but also to improve the development of the client base by soliciting potential clients. You will also be responsible for developing new business opportunities and for planning and establishing a marketing strategy for existing products in order to meet the company's objectives.

• Carry out any other task related to your duties.
• Follow up on ongoing sales opportunities;
• Take part in various exhibitions, according to the plan in place;
• Analyze clients' specific equipment and product needs in order to determine the best options to suggest to them;
• Provide an analytical solution for the negotiation of contracts / preparation for renewal thereof with clients;
• Customize, within the framework of the approval process, equipment and / or products, taking into account the various associated costs;
• Work alongside the product development team and other parties involved in the company in order to develop more interesting solutions / options;
• Follow up on and suggest changes to sales and marketing strategies in keeping with the changing situation. Be proactive with proposals in order to carry out realistic adaptations to the company's production;
• Be responsible for the development of new markets and for improving existing market coverage by analyzing the competition's activities and clients' needs or the dynamics of the industry / sector;

Required qualification

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (mechanical, chemical, materials, etc.) or in business administration;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
• Bilingual (spoken and written French and English);
• Available to travel frequently across Canada.
