Job Description

Our client is looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer on Magic: The Gathering - Puzzle Quest to help deliver a unique gaming experience. Working closely with game developers, artists and designers, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining the architectures and APIs that power the game.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and improve our server architecture.
  • Perform unit and stress tests.
  • Optimize algorithms.
  • Provide support for existing infrastructures.
  • Plan and validate estimates.
  • Oversee risk management.
  • Mentor & lead the developers on the team.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years of experience as a server or web programmer.
  • Autonomous, structured and good communication skills.
  • Work experience as a Tech Lead or Team Lead.
  • Good knowledge of one of the following programming languages: JavaScript (Node.js environment), Java, or C#.
  • Good knowledge and experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS, Amazon Web Services - EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SQL and work experience with a relational database (Postgres, MySql, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cache or memory database technology (Redis, Memcached).
  • Experience with a continuous integration tool (Gitlab-CI, Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Git.
  • Knowledge of the Linux operating system.

ASSET:

  • Bilingual (English and French).
