Senior Product Manager, Network Automation Platforms

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with key stakeholders (business product managers, software architects, network architects, network operations, software developers and DevOps specialists) to gather and prioritize requirements.
• Drive and maintain the NSO Epics/Stories backlog (both user-centric and technical backlogs), resulting in a groomed and prioritized backlog with clearly defined acceptance criteria
• Communicate the backlog and ensure it is fully understood by the delivery teams
• Distribute the backlog across multiple scrum teams for delivery.
• Enforce the definition of done / ensure completeness of the stories delivered by the team
• Plan and manage the goals, scope & timelines of sprints, milestones & releases for the NSO platform.
• Promote continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Minimum of four (4) years as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Analyst.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience with Agile methodologies
• Relevant technical knowledge in both telecoms networks and IT software development to drive a technical story backlog in the SDN/NFV network orchestration space.
• Ability to drive the introduction of agile and DevOps methodologies within the team.
• Strong aptitude for innovation; can recognize opportunities for improvement in day-to-day work and take appropriate actions; an enthusiastic individual who can act as a change agent
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, oral and written communication skills;
• Ability to conceptualize and think abstractly, and work and manage in a technically complex environment.
• Bilingualism (English and French) required.

Assets:

• Experience and technical knowledge of Software-Defined-Networking and/or Network Function Virtualization orchestration, a strong asset.
• Experience working within open source communities
• Knowledge and/or expertise with the open source networking landscape on projects such as Open Network Automation Platform (ONAP), Opendaylight (ODL), Fd.io, OPNFV or Openstack.
• Experience with Jira & Confluence
