Our client is a growing manufacturing company specializing in the design, production, and sales of automated equipment for the North American pharmaceutical sector. They are currently looking for a service technician to cover eastern Quebec.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the technical department supervisor, your job will be to carry out repairs and complex adjustments to the various pieces of equipment manufactured and distributed by the company, as well as training operators. In addition, you will provide technical support over the phone and, as needed, customer service outside regular working hours.

  • Go out on service calls and respond to our clients' needs by offering courteous, professional technical support;
  • Train and support clients with regards to the maintenance and use of equipment;
  • Perform preventative maintenance on devices in line with internal procedures;
  • Perform updates to devices and software;
  • Carry out follow-up visits in order to respond to clients' needs;
  • Prepare and write up service reports in keeping with internal procedures;
  • Take part in the continual improvement of the company's departmental practices;
  • Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

  • College diploma in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial electronics, or electronics; or vocational diploma in electromechanicals or any other relevant education;
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a field related to automation and technical service;
  • Valid driver's licence (vehicle provided by the company);
  • Available to travel outside the province on occasion (within Canada and the United States);
  • Flexible regarding work schedules (weekdays, weekends, rotating shifts, on call for emergencies);
  • Skilled in practical usage of Microsoft Office (Access, Word, and Excel).
