Service Technician - Automated Equipment (work from home)

Our client is an expanding manufacturing company specializing in the design, manufacture, and sales of automated equipment for the North American pharmaceutical sector. They are currently looking for a service technician to cover Eastern Québec.

Nature of position

Under the direction of the production and after-sales service manager, your job will be to carry out repair work and complex adjustments on a variety of equipment manufactured and distributed by the company, in addition to installing equipment on location for various clients and training their operators. You will also provide technical support over the phone, and, as needed, provide support to clients outside of normal working hours.

• Carry out any other task related to your duties.
• Coordinate logistics for installations (including transport);
• Install or help install and start up equipment on-site for clients;
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes (design, manufacturing, implementation, technical support, etc.);
• Document technical activities;
• Periodically offer clients support over the phone outside normal working hours;
• Help manage supplies at the warehouse;
• Perform courtesy calls to ensure that clients are satisfied;
• Carry out preventative maintenance on equipment;
• Answer service calls, visiting clients to carry out the required repair work or adjustments;

Required qualification

• College diploma in electrical engineering, industrial electronics, electronics, industrial maintenance, or other relevant education and training;
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
• Well-acquainted with automation;
• Own a car and hold a valid driver's license;
• Strong customer service skills;
• Good knowledge of spoken and written French and English;
• Interest in working from home.
