Shop Manager (Control Panels)

Our client is a company specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of automation solutions for various procedures, offering innovative solutions in order to improve the production quality of its clients. They are currently looking for a manager for their control panel assembly shop.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of company management, your job will be to plan, organize, and optimize the production and shipping activities of the shop in addition to applying the standards, procedures, and policies established by the company, respecting specifications, quality requirements, schedules, and budgets.

• Manage manufacturing schedules;
• Assemble control panels;
• Order materials in order to ensure that the materials needed for production are on hand;
• Support the engineering department in solving design problems;
• Work in a just in time and custom manufacturing context;
• Plan the shipping of orders;
• Help prepare bids and/or manage various projects, as needed;
• Visit clients in order to perform repair work or diagnostics on equipment and systems sold by the company;
• You may be called upon, based on your skill set, to program HMIs and programmable automatons;
• Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

• College diploma in electrical engineering, industrial electronics or any other relevant combination of education and experience;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience;
• Knowledge of CSA and UL standards is considered an important asset;
• Functionally bilingual (spoken and written French and English);
• Good knowledge of standard computer tools (MS Office suite, Windows, etc.);
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Ladder programming is an asset.
