Our client is a company that offers cloud computing technology for data collection and management services targeted primarily at the gambling sector, with an international client base. They are currently looking for a database administrator.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the chief technology officer, your job will mainly consist of making sure the company's communications infrastructure is working properly and monitoring data integrity within the database hosted on outside servers.

  • Make sure systems are performing well (statistics collection, recommendations, etc.);
  • Configure and manage servers and SQL database processes (security surveillance and system performance), in order to provide for a high level of performance, availability, and security;
  • Optimize performance maintenance and help requests using SQL Server tools;
  • Correct failures or coordinate corrections with suppliers;
  • Create automation tools to test, supply, monitor, and deploy database objects and scripts;
  • Maintain and expand cloud infrastructure and database services for our SaaS products;
  • Provide database support for our team members;
  • Work with development teams to determine data sources and integration needs;
  • Take part in the design and development of data warehouses;
  • Provide sufficient follow-up with clients and suppliers in the event of support problem solving;
  • Develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services;
  • Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

  • University degree or college diploma in a field related to information technology;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a database administrator;
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL server;
  • Practical knowledge of a cloud computing platform (Azure, AWS, etc.);
  • Functionally bilingual (spoken and written French and English).
