Supply Supervisor

Our client is a large manufacturing company specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of a wide range of equipment for the manufacturing sector, with an international clientele. They are currently looking for a supply supervisor.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the CEO, your job will be to take care of procurement for the full range of goods and materials needed by the company, as well as to ensure that the supply management system is working efficiently.

• Write up procurement strategies for the company and carry them out;
• Manage the team in place in the department;
• Manage and improve the range of operations, procedures, and methods relating to procurement;
• Actively take part in purchasing of materials required for the production team, as well as parts, tools, and other supplies;
• Negotiate various supply agreements and evaluate various suppliers;
• Ensure that the materials are delivered on time based on production needs;
• Ensure that the suppliers in the data base respect the company’s quality program requirements;
• Develop a supplier data base for all materials necessary for the production team, and keep said data base up to date;
• Work efficiently with the computerized system (MRP);
• Identifier et communiquer les situations critiques avec la direction;
• Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, College diploma in business administration, or other relevant education;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant supply work;
• Bilingual (spoken and written French and English);
• Proficient with the MS Office suite, the Windows environment, and an MRP-style system;
• Supply experience in the manufacturing sector is considered a significant asset;
• Available to visit certain suppliers on occasion.
