Web Application Developer

We are looking for someone with the ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast pace environment where meeting deadlines is crucial. Candidate should be able to work independently with little supervision and have strong attention to detail.
Our current needs focus around a qualified individual that has a strong understanding of all aspects of web development, coding ability which include general web functionality, web standards and best practices associated with the following programming languages and platforms:

PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, VB.NET, HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, SQL, MySQL

This role will be reporting directly to the Information System Manager:

• Implement requests and provide ongoing web-based application maintenance.
• Able to build PHP/ASP/ASP.Net web-based application that adhere to a modular design and limit code dependencies. (Code has to be clean, well-documented and built on a good infrastructure).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing custom codes, JavaScript and CSS related issues.
• Configure, monitor and optimize intranet, extranet website performance, stability and security.
• Focus on code efficiency and page speed.
• Test and deploy functional projects /improvements
• Work with supervisor on day-to-day website and web-based application improvement
• Work with internal team for platform setup, maintenance and ERP integration
• Write documentation of current and future configurations, processes and procedures.
• Able to utilize web services to integrate with 3rd party applications
• Perform other duties as assigned

The experience and skills required:

• At least 5 years’ experience with web-based application development, especially experience in integrating with ERP website development.
• Excellent knowledge of web programming languages (PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, VB.NET, HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap);
• Experience with MySQL and SQL database and excellent knowledge of SQL query using T-SQL
• Knowledge of Apache, IIS
• Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS would be a plus
• Able to develop cross-browser + cross-platform.
• Knowledge of responsive design standards
• Familiar with browser testing and debugging.
• Knowledge of HTTPXML, REST, SOAP and other web services is a plus
• Understanding and/or knowledge of various networking systems and concepts including email, firewall, clients, servers, network security, network protocols (TCP/IP), hubs, switches, etc.
• Highly organized and motivated
• Ability to work independently under little guidance on several projects simultaneously
• Detail orientated
• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to build successful relationships within a team and cross-functionally
