RÉGISSEUR DE COULISSES ÉQUESTRE

DESCRIPTION

Relevant du régisseur, le régisseur de coulisses équestre est responsable du bon déroulement du spectacle lors des représentations, plus spécifiquement des opérations des coulisses, de l'écurie et de la tente d'échauffement. Les horaires du régisseur équestre varient en fonction des horaires artistiques.

RESPONSABILITÉS

• Prépare la portion équestre des rapports concernant la gestion des coulisses ;
• Appliquer des mesures d'urgence sous chapiteau pendant les représentations;
• Coordonner les ressources équestres et artistiques pour le spectacle;
• Coordonner le spectacle, les répétitions et les calendriers de formation, en particulier en ce qui concerne les grooms et accessoires équestres;
• Assister les artistes dans la manipulation des chevaux et du matériel équestre;
• Veiller au respect du code d'éthique relatif au spectacle;
• Assister le régisseur pendant les répétitions et les formations;
• Travailler en étroite collaboration avec le directeur écuries et les Grooms pour le bon déroulement des opérations des écuries pendant les représentations et les répétitions;
• Assister et participer au montage et au démontage, et dans l’emballage du matériel équestre ainsi que dans le transport des chevaux;
• Tenir à jour les tableaux de signaux (cues) Coulisses/Écurie;
• Responsable de la sécurité des chevaux et des cavaliers lors de leurs déplacements en coulisses et dans la tente d'échauffement.

PROFIL RECHERCHÉ

• Connaissance approfondie et expérience dans l'exploitation d’une écurie de spectacle ou avec des chevaux de compétition;
• Vaste expérience de la manipulation des chevaux lors des spectacles équestres et du matériel équestre pour l'acrobatie et la voltige;
• Expérience comme groom et les compétences en gestion d’écurie;
• Très bonne connaissance des programmes de formation nutritionnelle et des principes médicaux applicables aux programmes de soins équins;
• Expérience de coulisse sur une production artistique impliquant des chevaux et de l'expérience multiculturelle;
• Capacité à gérer les ressources et planifier les horaires dans un environnement mobile;
• Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais;
• Disponibilité à vivre en tournée à temps plein et autorisation de travailler à l’étranger.

EQUESTRIAN BACK STAGE MANAGER

DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Stables Director, the Equestrian Stage Manager is responsible of the equestrian operations for backstage, warm up tent and stables to ensure the good running and integrity of the show. These tasks consist mostly in insuring the liaison with the different players linked with horses as part of the show. The person needs to be available to work on a variable schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the good running of the equestrian operation backstage;
• Supervise the equestrian rehearsals;
• Make the liaison with the riders, stables employees and other employee of the artistic department;
• Responsible of attributing the tasks (cues) of the show to riders and stable employees and make the liaison with the Stage Manager and Backstage Manager at this level;
• Ensure cleanliness, organisation and security of the backstage, rehearsal tent and it’s surroundings
• Participate in the daily organisation of the rehearsal schedule of horses in collaboration with the Equestrian Trainers, Veterinary Technician and Equestrian Director;
• Responsible of the integration of the new riders and horses in terms of material;
• Maintain a secure work environment at all times;
• Participate in the set up and tear down of the equestrian element backstage as well as the preparation of the accessories and equestrian material for transport;
• Ensure proper course of the work related to the maintenance of the equestrian equipment;
• Ensure the update of the inventory of the equestrian material necessary to the show (orders, maintenance, identification, etc.);
• Participate in the transport of the horses and organizing therefor;
• Available on call to answer the needs of special events, rehearsals and emergencies;
• With the Stables Director, update the equestrian emergency measures;
• Help to make sure that the stable is clean to receive the guest every night;
• Ensure compliance to the ethical code and of the company;
• Participate to the ‘’in between cities’’ tasks during the vacations of the horses;
• Participate in the closing of the stable;
• Participate to the Equestrian tasks when there is now show;
• Participate to the tour reunions;
• Participate to the artistics reunions
• Participate to the Stableman reunions;
• All other related tasks;

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience as Stage Manager in scale artistic production, an asset;
• Knowledge of the Equestrian field;
• Experience in touring, an asset;
• Bilingual (French and English) and knowledge of a third language is an asset;
• Autonomous, very good organisation skills and ability to work under pressure;
• Sens of authority;
• Must be comfortable to answer to emergency situations and adapt to it;
• Must be comfortable to development training offered by Cavalia as part of his duties;
• Team players and dynamic;
• Interested in touring full-time with the show and authorized to travel and work in foreign countries.
