Senior .NET Developer - WPF/ Developer .NET WPF senior

Our client is looking for a senior .NET excited by technical challenges and creating engaging desktop applications and online experiences. We are looking for a senior developer who will be responsible in mentoring junior and intermediate programmers and code .NET projects.

Your street cred is that you are a rock-star developer, creative problem solver, deliver solid code in an agile development environment on time, and excel at delivering in a fast-paced environment. You have a background in an agency environment and enjoy mentoring junior developers and leading projects. You are recognized for your ability to foresee development obstacles and recommend best solutions.

Must Have Skills & Experience

• At least 8 years work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering preferred
• Strong experience in .NET desktop development using C#
• Experience organizing and maintaining a common core shared amongst various platforms (WPF, iOS, Android, ASP.NET)
• Experience building graphically intensive UIs, managing multiple view hierarchies, and optimizing UI transitions and performance on computers
• Strong knowledge in building and deploying applications
• Experience with source control software such as Git/TFS
• Deep knowledge of .NET tools and framework such as Visual Studio, WPF, Sliverlight, Winforms, etc
• Solid experience with object oriented programming, design patterns, MVVM coding, SQL scripting, performance issues and data modeling
• Experience with development of web services / RESTful
• Strong understanding of architecture and SQL server databases
• Able to diagnose and repair problems/bugs relating to server, devices and functionality
• Extremely organized, articulate, detail-oriented and comfortable working within a team structure
• Ideally highly conversant in French and English (written and spoken)
• Excellent teamwork skills with an ability to get the work done with minimal supervision
• Agency experience is required

Plus

• Experience with other .NET languages (C++, VB.NET, etc)
• Experience with prototyping tools a plus
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC
• Web expertise with different Web CMS such as Umbraco, Sitecore etc
• Ability to design and optimize SQL Server stored procedures
• Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript and familiarity with cross-browser/cross-devices responsive design
• Experience with public APIs such as Twitter, Google Maps or Facebook
• General experience in Windows system administration, for example; Power Tools, IIS, etc.
• Experience with cloud solutions such as Azure, Rackspace or Amazon
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
